 Undergraduate Degree Programs

Christian Bible Institute & Seminary offers students pursuing Undergraduate Studies the opportunity to advance their education through various programs of study. Each program is tailored to meet the specific needs of the student, while providing flexibility. The Undergraduate Programs range in specializations, including General Studies, Biblical Studies, Church Administration, Theological Studies, etc. Listed below are the various degree programs offered by Christian Bible Institute & Seminary along with the academic requirements for each degree. Please view our course catalog to chose the courses that you would like to take. However if you are not sure as to which courses you should take, we will have a member of our staff to provide academic guidance for you.

All degrees earned without the general education component i.e. ( English, Science, Social Studies, Math and History ) will be issued as follows:

B.B.S-Bachelor of Biblical Studies 120Hrs

10 Old Testament Courses=30 Credit Hours
10 New Testament Courses=30 Credit Hours
5 General Bible Courses (GB 101 Basic Bible Doctrine Required) =15 Credit Hours
4 Character Studies Courses=12 Credit Hours
1 General Component Course (GE 103 English Composition Required) =3 Credit Hours
10 Electives=30 Credit Hours
(Electives may be chosen from any course heading in most cases with only a few exceptions)

B.C.C-Bachelor of Christian Counseling 120Hrs

10 Old Testament Courses=30 Credit Hours
10 New Testament Courses=30 Credit Hours
4 General Bible Courses (GB 101 Basic Bible Doctrine Required) =12 Credit Hours
1 General Component Course (GE 103 English Composition Required)=3 Credit Hours
5 Christian Counseling Courses=15 Credit Hours
10 Electives=30 Credit Hours

B.Th-Bachelor of Theology 120Hrs

All degrees listed above with the general education i.e. (English, Science, Social Studies, Math and History) component will be issued as Bachelor of Religious Arts with noted concentrations. 

Bachelor of Religious Arts Degree Program 128Hrs

Bachelor of Religious Arts (Theology)
Bachelor of Religious Arts (Christian Counseling)
Bachelor of Religious Arts (Biblical Counseling)
Bachelor of Religious Arts (Ministry)

The Bachelor of Religious Arts Degree requires 24 Credit hours of General Component Courses or a minimum of 2 courses from each component.  Degree requirements are the same as the Non Religious Arts Degree Program with the exception that 24 credit hours from the Non Religious Arts Bachelors Degree Program must be substituted with General Component Courses.
 
 
Graduate Degree Programs

Admission to the Graduate School of Counseling requires that students have earned an undergraduate degree with a major or minor in a related field, such as counseling or psychology. Students with significant counseling experience who wish to challenge this requirement must receive a waiver from the Dean of Administration and complete a minimum of nine (9) hours of prerequisite courses in the Counseling Department as part of this degree program. The degree in Christian Counseling does not qualify for Florida state licensure, however, it does qualify one with this degree who comes under a religious organization to operate as a “Christian Counselor” under Florida Statutes Title XXXII, Chapter 491.014 Exemption. M.C.L-Master of Christian Leadership 36Hrs

All Master students must choose a minimum of two English courses from the general component courses either as electives or by substituting 6 credit hours of general courses with 6 hrs of English from the General Component Courses.

All degrees listed above with the general education i.e. (English, Science, Social Studies, Math and History) component will be issued as Master of Religious Arts with noted concentrations. 

Master of Religious Arts Degree Program 60Hrs

Master of Religious Arts (Theology)
Master of Religious Arts (Christian Counseling)
Master of Religious Arts (Biblical Counseling)
Master of Religious Arts (Christian Education)
Master of Religious Arts (Christian Leadership)

 
The Master of Religious Arts Degree requires 24 Credit hours of General Component Courses or a minimum of 2 courses from each component. Degree requirements are the same as the Non Religious Arts Degree Program with the exception that 24 credit hours from the Non Religious Master of Arts Degree Program must be substituted with General Component Courses.

Doctoral Research or Extensive Readings=12 Credit Hours
Doctoral Dissertation=12 Credit Hours
Area of Concentration Courses= 12 Credit Hours… i.e. 4 courses in either Biblical Studies, Theology, Christian Education or Christian Counseling.

Required courses for all areas of concentration (CC 201-Introduction to Psychology: Christian Counseling Perspectives, RS 314-Principles and Philosophy of Church Growth, ED401 Philosophy of Christian Education.)
