Dr. Lewis is the founder and president of Christian Bible Institute & Seminary which is an online bible institute and seminary dedicated to biblical training. Dr. Lewis is a native of Houston, Texas. He was reared in the streets of 5th Ward and Acres Homes. After fully receiving his salvation in 1990, two years later he responded to the call that God had placed upon his life. Dr. Lewis has a diverse background of ministry skills with 14 years of ministry experience seven of those years in Music Ministry, and 4 years as an assistant Pastor.

Dr.Lewis has also conducted leadership and discipleship training classes to develop and empower church leaders and bring growth and stability to the body of Christ. Dr. Lewis also teaches a seminar upon request entitled Bringing the Seminary to the Church in which he teaches such topics as Bible Study Methods, Homiletics and Hermeneutics. Dr. Lewis received his Bachelors of Theology Degree in 1995 and one year later he received an Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree, he is currently pursuing his PhD through correspondence at Covenant Bible College & Seminary.

Dr. Lewis is a student of God's Word in the original languages with a concentration on exegetical preaching and teaching, with an emphasis on precision and homiletical clarity. Dr. Lewis is also a member of the board of directors for the National Association of Private Theological Institutions (NAPTI) He also serves as the director of post secondary education for (NAPTI). Dr. Lewis models a life of prayer and contemplation, study, discipleship and evangelism and has a deep love for children, young people, young adults and growing families. Dr. Lewis is the founder and senior Pastor of the Dwelling Place of God Christian Fellowship Church located in the Woodlands area of Houston, Texas. He is married to Pastor Carla D Lewis who is an awesomely anointed psalmist. First Lady Lewis works closely by his side and together they are the proud parents of three wonderful children Tony, Timothy and Breanna.

Dr. Moten started preaching at the age of fourteen in Houston, Texas at the Canaan Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. L. V. Adams. After finishing high school, Dr. Moten continued his quest for excellence in ministry. He attended such campuses as Houston Baptist University, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and G.M.O.R. Theological Seminary. Dr. Moten received both his Bachelors of Theology and Masters of Divinity degrees while facing uncertainty about the direction his ministry was going. He would later have an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity conferred on him as his relationship with God was getting stronger and stronger.


Dr. C. Edward Moten is now the founder and Senior Pastor of the Peace Fellowship Church which is one church with three locations. Dr. Moten’s passion is that the preacher and or minister would be thoroughly equipped for the 21st century ministry. Dr. Moten is much sought after for his balanced approach to the Word of God. Dr.Moten shares in ministry with his lovely wife, Pastor Lucy D. Barnes-Moten. They have two active boys, Caleb and Devon, which share in the ministry as well. 

 

 

Dean of Administration

Dr. Cecil Cockerham is   President and Founder of both ministries. He  is married to Janet Cockerham and they have five children and nine grandchildren and one great grand child. He and his wife are members of Sugar Creek Baptist in Houston, Texas.

They were the first members of Together We Stand Christian Church in Missouri City, Texas, a "missionary outreach church" of Sugar Creek Baptist. Dr. Cockerham and his wife served for more than four years in this newly formed church. The church recognized Dr. Cockerham as one of the Church's first Elders.

In addition to Dr. Cockerham being an Ordained Minister, his education consists of: Doctor of Psychology, Doctor of Divinity, Certified Anger Management Therapist, a Certified Emotional Freedom Techniques Practitioner and a Divine Healing Technician, trained by the John G. Lake Divine Healing Institute. He was featured on Fox News, concerning a divine healing. He is passionate about seeing the Body of Christ whole and healthy in order to do ministry with excellence.

Additional studies include: Peacemaker Training I, II, and III (A Biblical Guide to Resolving Personal Conflict); Quantum Techniques: “Bringing Healing out of Chaos" and "The Healing Codes."

Developmental Works include: "Be Set Free NOW" Series of Workshops, the “12-Month Mentoring Program” and the “Transformation Codes for Freedom.”

He is the former Department Dean in the Christian Counseling Education Department at The International Christian Institute and Graduate School in Houston, Texas. He served as President of The International Institute for Christian Counselor Training, a division of Messiah Method Ministries, Inc., before establishing the American Institute for Christian Education and the Christian Institute for Counselor Certification, Inc. a non-profit organization under the IRS Code 501 (c) (3), the Certification Entity of the ministry.

He developed the "Emotional Freedom Through Christ" one-day workshop to facilitate biblical principles that bring about freedom through Christ from additions. There is no other biblical program of this magnitude to "Set the Captives Free." This 1-Day Workshop is available to any church by request.

Dr. Todd M. Hall is the eldest of nine siblings, born in Brooklyn, New York to a legacy of preachers of the Gospel, including his father, mother and grandparents. Overcoming the lure of the streets to accept his call to ministry has brought this man of God to a number of crossroads. Choosing ministry over fame and fortune has brought him and those who receive his message of purpose in Christ, greater riches.Dr. Hall is the Founder and Overseer of Shabach Christian Church in Orlando, Florida. He has over 22 years of practical experience as a community leader and youth advocate, which he has used to establish Dove Inner City Ministries outreach to focus on the needs, pressures and concerns of youth. Dr. Hall teaches on real life experiences and biblical principles in a common language understood by youth to persuade them to give their life to Christ. Not only does Dr. Hall reach the youth, but he bridges the gap between the young and the old with one of his most powerful sermons to-date based on the book of Joshua, entitled Sanctified Thug.

Dr. Hall is internationally recognized as the “Praiseologist” for his wisdom on the application of Praise and Worship and his remarkable skill to locate Praise throughout the entire Bible. One of Dr. Hall’s most notable strong suits, is his ability to combine biblical truths and his understanding that the purpose of mans creation is to Praise, and Worship was created to be an intimate relationship between God and man. Dr. Hall is extremely gifted in the closing delivery of his messages with the melodious sound of his voice and the use of musicians, to bring the anointing of old back into the worship experience. His excitement and intensity in delivering the Word of the Lord has helped to revive ministries, restore pastors, rebuild churches and renew the hearts and minds of Believers; as well as, Non-Believers to a new level of faith and commitment to God.

The dynamic, distinctive and captivating voice of Kim Burrell carries power to sooth and encourages the heart of people everywhere. The Houston native is revered by her peers in the music industry from both the spiritual and secular world. This humble Grammy Award nominee and Stellar Award winner has a true and undying passion for ministry and music. This singing sensation was encompassed by music being the daughter of a Pastor/musician Father and an Evangelist/singer Mother. Kim Burrell started her musical career with the Greater Emmanuel C.O.G.I.C. Choir of Houston, Texas.

Early in her career, she was featured on recordings with the Gospel Music Workshop of America Youth Choir; Trinity Temple Full Gospel Mass Choir of Dallas, Texas along with Kirk Franklin, and The Inspirational Sounds Mass Choir of Houston, TX. Kim has been also featured on B.E.T.'S Celebration of Gospel, Lift Every Voice in London England, as well as the Bobby Jones Gospel Show. Kim has appeared at Lincoln Center, Radio City Music Hall, Rock & Roll Music Hall of Fame and other notable venues and ministries around the world. Kim has earned the respect of musicians and artists in all genres and is hailed in Colleges & Universities throughout the United States.

Since her first solo project, "Try Me Again", Kim has shared the stage with Great Gospel Artists such as Shirley Caesar, Albertina Walker, Donnie McClurkin, Karen Clark-Sheard, Yolanda Adams, Kirk Franklin and Marvin Winans, just to name a few. She has also worked with secular artists such as: Missy Elliot, Chaka Khan, Stevie Wonder, George Duke, Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs, Whitney Houston, Harry Connick Jr., and many more. Kim overwhelmed the music industry on Tommy Boy Gospel with her hit projects "Everlasting Life" and "Kim Burrell Live", with hits like "I Keep Holding On"; "I Come To You More Than I Give"; "Anything"; "Victory" and "I'll Be There".

Ms.Burrell has successfully obtained the attention of the Jazz, R&B and Gospel markets. You are sure to hear new standards set in music on each new project. Kim Burrell exercises her gifts as a musician, writer/producer, orator, workshop facilitator and Evangelist, through her newest business venture KB Crew Productions. This venture seeks to educate and support up and coming artists to prepare them for success in the music industry.
